Arthur Minas' practice focuses on representing immigrants in removal proceedings, and other federal immigration agencies. Mr. Minas represents immigrants in the Los Angeles Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His work includes, but is not limited to, assisting immigrants seeking citizenship, permanent residence, waivers, asylum, and defense from deportation.
Mr. Minas is a member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Immigration Section, and the National Lawyers Guild. Mr. Minas also serves on the Board of Directors for Inspired Sound Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing under-served communities with music, dance, and storytelling workshops that promote mindfulness, peace, unity, harmony and understanding among diverse cultures in an effort to reduce bullying, racism, hate, crime, radicalism and violence.
Mr. Minas was born to Armenian parents from Iran and has a deep-rooted connection to the immigrant experience. He is a graduate from UC Santa Cruz and Whittier College and was admitted into the California State Bar in 2013. He has spent time living and volunteering in Hungary, Israel and Guatemala. When he is not practicing immigration law, Mr. Minas performs the oud as a community member with the UCLA Near East Ensemble.
